You’ll Never Find What You’re Looking For

You’ve tried it your way all of this time. You were told, and honestly believed, that if you would pursue your “true self,” that you’d be happy. Yet, here you are. Is it all you thought it would be? It certainly wasn’t for me.

Sin doesn’t stay where you put it. It gets out of bounds, and quickly. It takes you further than you wanted to go, and leaves you longer than you wanted to stay, and makes you pay more than you wanted to pay. Yet, you are continuing in it. Why?

What is your end game?

I am not a prophet, or the son of a prophet, but I will tell you your future. If you continue in homosexuality (or transgenderism), you will go into old age alone and miserable. You will also die in your sins and then face a Christ-less eternity. Does this sound promising? It shouldn’t, but it is reality.

You may think, what if there is no God? But, what if there is? I have bet my eternity on the truth of the Bible. If I am wrong, I’ve lost nothing, because my life is so much more joyful and peaceful than it was.

But, I am not wrong. And I’m sure of it. The question is, what if you’re wrong? Then this is as good as it is going to get for you. Your future is grim, and you have no hope.

I invite you to turn to Christ. Today is the day of salvation. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, or how long you’ve done it, forgiveness is a prayer away.

The Bible teaches that if you humble yourself before the cross of Jesus, and ask for His forgiveness, He will forgive you. He will justify you, which is a term that means He will make it as if you’ve never sinned in the first place. That sounds like good news to me.

Or, you could continue on, and the misery and unhappiness and emptiness that you feel, will just get worse by the day. The depression and anxiety will go on indefinitely.
